Cobra Commander looks awesome! Yes, better than Sideshow imo
Nice review! They do make those ankle ball-socket "extenders", and since the shin armor is un-attached, it'd slide down and cover it. I think a half inch increase might work great for this guy!

Anyone got any advice how to get the ball peg out of the helmet? The helmet took the whole peg out with it on mine
ROTS yoda comes in a 2 pack with a clone I think. It’s coming out soon if it hasn’t already.
Definitely appropriate reuse IMO. He looks spectacularly evil. Nice in depth review man. Can’t wait to get this one on the shelf!

Hmm I dont like the smile, not very sith lord'ish. Also way too much soft goods on him. Hasbro could have picked the robe he wears when he rescues Anakin on Mustafar, all black of course. I think it's a pass for me sadly.

Yeah I got two so I could have one with the Force lightning, and one with the dual sabers, and I gotta say the dual sabers looks really cool.

@@blankwavemessiah I got mine via online preorder from GameStop Canada which means they've released so GameStop's up here could be getting stock on the shelves now/soon...can't speak for other retailers.

Is Rehuse from the Book of boba fett luke and the arms and head are from the ROTJ palpatine
The arms and also Luke’s and the head is brand new, none of this figure is reused from the rotj emperor

Early on, this guy was supposed to be the first Revenge of the Sith figure in this package, then somewhere along the line he was switched to Attack of the Clones. I hope to get ahold of one eventually.

What do you think about the unpainted ones ? less desirable ?, do they look cool unpainted or do they look like unfinished, incomplete toys ?. A few of these are in a store near here quite cheap but all unpainted.
I think they are cool if you want to custom paint them or just like the I painted look, but for me I'm not much of a painter so I don't have an interest in them.
Thanks for your perspective, i really like how detailed they are and the articulation, would have loved a figure like that as a kid, considering buying a few to put away for my son when hes a bit older. They are like 15 pound each, but all unpainted.
The body underneath is the Luke Skywalker body from the grogu two pack
It's a decent sculpt with good articulation, reuse done right.
For this weirdly the hands are all new despite being in the exact same positions as the original emperor hands, someone tried putting the lightning hands on the old figure and they didn’t work. I know the body is a complete reuse the the lower legs confuse me, I wouldn’t used Jedi Luke since I thought they had similar boots. Still very excited for this, should be getting it soon

@@DarthDeuces yeah, it’s so weird that they essentially are the same, I guess so they could fit into the Luke arms, I’m just happy they gave the lightning hands
Wow. You got that super early..doesn't get a release here until August..was hoping for a Darth Malgus type hood and a maniacal howl head to swap out..for different poses..otherwise looks great...cheers 🍺🍺🍻 SI FI

I doubt you actually wanted it. You aint gonna get a Sidious anywhere else other than a really expensive Hot Toy.
@@WhiteDireWolf_217 I don't want a Luke Skywalker in disguise. Even if I could ignore that it's a repurposed whole body (which I can't) the head sculpt is so soft that it makes it look like a wax doll. I'm not willing to pay Hasbro's inflated prices for this level of quality. If you can settle for a lot less, good for you.
The only positive is that the Luke body has good articulation.
@@WhiteDireWolf_217 Nah, perfectly fine with my Kotobukiya Throne Room Emperor. And since I don't need ROTJ Palpatine to do anything other than sitting on his throne and looking good (as most people even with the BS one), can't care less about his lack of articulation in this case. It scales fine with BS and looks a million times better than any Hasbro version, which is the main thing. So no, Black Series if definitely not the only option. Although I would agree that this version is much better than any of their previous releases, and I would've bought it if they wouldn't put ROTS Yoda in the 2pack with a useless clone.
@@friendlypiranha9334 Reusing parts is perfectly fine when you don't even see these part though. But poor paint of his lightsaber is inexcusable, also I don't like that they didn't use darker cloth for the central piece of his robes.
A Sith Holocron would have been a nice inclusion.
Disappointed to see the lack of detail on the saber. Palpatine's saber is my all time favourite and it's the part of this release I was the most excited for. As for soft goods, I'd actually prefer to have a soft goods hood as I've had good luck with posing them on the Amazon Palpatine as well as the Walmart Luke.
Agree on the saber, I am also pretty disappointed with the saber, it's also one of my favorite designs and feels like a disservice to not paint it correctly, especially when the figure is mostly softgoods and doesn't have much other paint apps.
Soft Goods hoods almost never look good at this scale, I much prefer plastic hoods. Malgus is the only one with a decent wireless soft goods hood I can think of.
I didn't know this figure was making it's rounds, and it only took 11 years to get a Palpatine lightsaber in TBS. I just might get this, but in no rush to do so.
Yeah I was surprised when GameStop shipped it out to me, definitely a highlight figure of the year so far for me from the Black Series.

They reused Luke's legs and waist. A little bit dissapointing, to be honest, considering how much are we paying for this figures.

Not bad. Nice they included his Sith Lightning hands. Myself, I'd prefer a soft goods hood. I favour pose-ability and think the one on the Jedi version works pretty well. Not perfect but good.
You could treat this as a McQuarrie concept Chewbacca. Looks good, but I doubt I'll be getting this. Never got into the Rebels series.
He does look a lot more like that Mcquarrie concept than the black series one...yeah, definitely not a must buy if you don't have much attachment to Rebels.
Do the fists work with the original release?
Haven't tested it but they are the same arms and have the same pegs as the original open hands so they should work with the old one.
0:17 couldn’t have said it better. Nowadays I just don’t have the sudden urge to buy DC Multiverse figures. Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen many movies from DC or maybe it’s from my previous experience with one other wave of figures that turned me off but yeah it’s just been quiet for me lately
Is it me or is the newer one a bit bigger then the older model? The head for sure is bigger on the new one! Looks dope!! Glad they are being shipped out!
I think they are pretty much the same size, like you said I think the head makes it look a little bigger.

I ended up selling it a while ago, but I probably had it for about a year or a little longer with no issues.
Not a priority for me, but might get one on sale eventually. Also, do you plan to back the Haslab?
No, I don't have space to display the Cantina and don't care enough about it to spend that much money on it, especially when I have multiple Hot Toys preorders I care about a lot more. I think it's pretty cool but honestly I'm not that bothered to have it, I would have been more likely to back the Ghost than the Cantina.

Ash Williams (Army of darkness) or Josh McGrath / Max Steel or Action Man (1993) or Guts / Gatsu (berserk) be like Luke or Cade Skywalker or Galen Marek / Starkiller, all heroes have dark / evil side, some villains have light / good side and others villains try escaped from past, yin and yang never separate

First! 🤩 GREAT REVIEW! I too like the figure photography on the box, but much prefer carded (even though I open, but the price point is better for a carded of course!). Imagine if Jango was carded and the photography they used on the deluxe box was used on the back of the card! Would've looked awesome!

Fantastic figure. I didn't realize the lightening hand was a reuse from Palpatine. I'll have to see if Palpatine's left hand can work for Dooku. I would still recommend tracking down the Revenge of the Sith Dooku at some point. I still think it holds up great and it's a fun figure to pose.
I imagine the left hand from Palpatine would work, although the color of the hand may be a little off.
